The museum accommodates a unique collection of paintings of Cyprus by foreign artists, over 1200 works of art, and also costumes and memorabilia collections. Experience the last 300 years of Cyprus’ history, research the archives and the 6,000 plus volume-library on Cyprus’s history, and on art and travel to the Eastern Mediterranean. Enjoy a coffee at the ground floor cafe facing Ermou Street, once the most commercial road on the island and now divided-metres away from the site-by the disgraceful green line. Enjoy a public performance at the in-house open air auditorium or in the multipurpose room. A research centre will provide space for studying, conference rooms and workshop space. Children have their own private area to play and learn, a music room devoted to classic music lovers at the roof will unfold breathtaking views of Nicosia and a small shop will sell books and items related to the museum’s scope of activities.
